This August, Create is heading for an Adventure in the Conservatory!

Join us this August for Camp Make-A-Mini as we enjoy a cold glass of ice tea in the Conservatory. This year we are hosting a "Writers’ Retreat". Create a story with our theme “What Happened In the Conservatory?” Set in Alician Pearce’s Workshop in all three scales, Create is offering you an opportunity in Create-ive Writing ... in Miniature, of course!
In the writing style of your choice ...
Perhaps a romance in the style of a Jane Austen?
“Lizzie dear, you must have some lemonade with me here in the conservatory and tell what Mr. Darcy has written about in his letter? Is it good news? Are you invited to a ball? Will he ever return to Netherfield?
Or a thriller?
James never reached the conservatory. The latest Bond girl was just lying there breathing her last breath. Who shot her?!?
Or perhaps a new mystery for Miss Marple?
“Looks as though there will be one less person joining us for tea in the conservatory this afternoon, my lady.”
Or maybe simply a cat chasing a bird or a playful pup knocking over a plant.

Out of fairness to our workshop presenters who have to purchase materials ahead of time, and since all classes are recorded and may be viewed by those registered at a later time, we do not accept cancellations for workshops on Create.

Camp Make-A-Mini kicks off on Sunday, August 23 with Alician Pearce's workshop in all three scales, and runs through Saturday, August 30, wrapping up with a cozy closing campfire where we will have a chance to share our campfire stories of "What Happened in the Conservatory?" Throughout the week, we'll have puzzles, games, tutorials, and chances to win some amazing prizes!
