Come and create a fairytale castle with me! This quarter-scale castle has three interior rooms and is perfect for your favorite prince or princess! Students will learn how to stucco, easy techniques for creating faux stone in foamcore, how to make circular steps for any type of building, basic painting and weathering techniques, and simple landscaping. You will also learn how to create circular tower tops using heavy card stock, and a unique way to make doors and windows using cardstock and fun foam. The castle sits on a cast resin stone platform on an open book. The platform is provided; the book is not**. There are lots of extra doors and windows to customize your castle and make it your own design! Castle ghosts and dragons are optional.
**You will need to find a book to use at the base. This kit does NOT include the book pictured.
Techniques included: basic landscaping, faux stones from foam core, basic painting techniques, fun foam uses, foam core uses.
Materials & Supplies Needed: Basic tool kit and cutting board, Tacky Glue, scissors, a good sharp crafting knife. (I will send a list of supplies needed for the class a week before the scheduled class.)
